Superficial muscles of the back of the first layer

Trapezius muscle (m. trapezius) is so called because the muscles of both sides together form a trapezoid. Individually, each of the large flat muscle is shaped like a triangle whose base extends along the vertebral column and is located in the upper back and neck. Trapezius muscle is divided into three parts, each of which performs its functions. The upper part of the muscle raises the shoulder girdle and scapula, the middle part of the blade pushes the spine and the lower portion moves the paddle down. The muscle begins at the upper occiput, upper nuchal line, the nuchal ligament and ligament nadostistoy thoracic vertebrae, and is attached to the shoulder of the appendix, acromion (lateral) part of the clavicle and scapula spine.

Latissimus dorsi muscle (m. latissimus dorsi), cutting, shoulder closer to the trunk and upper limb shifts back while turning it inward. For a fixed position of the upper limb muscle closer to her body, and helps to remove the lower ribs upward during breathing movements. The muscle is located in the lower back, the start point is located on the thoracolumbar fascia, the posterior part of the iliac crest and spinous processes of five or six lower thoracic vertebrae.
